Jewish history journeys for women
Glatt kosher expeditions led by an educator with more than twenty years in the classroom.
We travel to the places our people lived, prayed, built and remembered. Each day pairs a scholar's insight with a storyteller's warmth, so history stops being a date and becomes a place you have stood.
Imperial cities, blue mountain lanes and centuries of Jewish life, ending with a Shabbat in Marrakech shared with the local community.
A private welcome at the airport, then the Hassan II Mosque rising over the Atlantic. Begin the story of Moroccan Jewry at the Museum of Moroccan Judaism, with a visit to Chabad Casablanca.
Drive north to the port city where Morocco meets the Mediterranean. Walk the Kasbah, the Grand and Petit Socco and the old medina, with views across the Strait of Gibraltar.
Wander the blue-washed lanes of this mountain town, sit in Outa el Hammam square and browse the artisan shops, then continue on to Fes.
The medina of Fes el-Bali, the historic mellah and the Ibn Danan Synagogue, with the old Jewish cemetery. Meet the city's craftspeople: leather, ceramics, metalwork and zellige tile.
A scenic drive south to the Red City, arriving in time for the lights and life of Jemaa el-Fnaa and the souks around it.
The mellah, the Slat Al Azama Synagogue and the Miâara Jewish Cemetery with a local guide. In the evening, a festive Shabbat dinner hosted by a Moroccan Jewish family.
A day of prayer and rest with the Chabad community of Marrakech. No sightseeing, just Shabbat.
A free day to explore, relax at the riad or join an optional excursion to the High Atlas mountains or the seaside town of Essaouira.
Breakfast and a private transfer to Marrakech airport.
